Being the Breath and Pulse


Better connect yourself with your heart-lung system, while improving your ability to create a hypnotic state.


This hypnotic induction has two aims: the first is to better connect you with your heart-lung system; the second is to improve your ability to move into a self-absorbed, hypnotic state.

Your heart-lung system offers you the sensations of breath and pulse. You can control your breath and you can improve your control of it by becoming more sensitive.

Your pulse is so ever-present as to be invisible, but it is also of great importance. It’s important that you regain awareness of it, and this only becomes more important as you get older, or want to perform better at any time in your life.

This induction will help you to more easily enter a state of self-hypnosis. Hypnosis is simply a selectively focused state, disengaged from your normal environment, and deeply connected to a particular aspect of your mind or body.

In this exercise, your breath and pulse offer you important benefits, and the each have structures that define your overall health and longevity for which, if you’re like most people, you have not taken full responsibility.

I might be overstating the case if I say that learning to attend, observe, control, and respond to your breath and your pulse will extend your life and might even save it. On the other hand, maybe I’m not overstating the case!
